This is a press release on the AI-based fashion curator system developed by the AIM Lab.
POSTECH announced on the 8th that a research team led by Prof. Minseok Song of the Department of Industrial and Management Engineering has developed an AI fashion curation service in joint research with Samsung C&T, and that the service is now offered on SSF Shop (www.ssfshop.com), the integrated online mall of Samsung C&T's fashion division. The AI learns from styling created by fashion experts and recommends the items that best match the clothing a customer selects in the online shopping mall. Existing fashion AI systems went no further than statistically processing items customers bought together or finding similar items. The AI developed by POSTECH, however, recommends a complete look "from head to toe" - bottoms, outerwear, shoes, bags, and more - once the customer selects a top. AIM Lab에서 진행한 AI 기반 패션 큐레이터 시스템 구축 연구의 보도자료입니다.
포스텍(포항공대)은 송민석 산업경영공학과 교수 연구팀이 삼성물산과 공동 연구로 AI 패션 큐레이션 서비스를 개발해, 삼성물산 패션부문 통합 온라인몰 SSF샵(www.ssfshop.com)에 서비스하고 있다고 8일 밝혔다. 개발된 AI는 패션 전문가가 만든 스타일링을 학습해, 온라인 쇼핑몰을 찾은 고객이 고른 옷과 가장 잘 어울리는 옷을 추천해 준다. 기존 패션 AI는 고객이 함께 구매한 옷을 통계적으로 처리해 보여주거나 유사한 옷을 찾아주는 데 그쳤다. 하지만 포스텍이 개발한 AI는 고객이 상의를 고르면 하의ㆍ외투ㆍ신발ㆍ가방 등을 어울리는 스타일로 ‘머리부터 발끝까지’ 추천해준다.
